Although the pandemic has given us many challenges, we also have so much to be grateful for in 2020.

We want to express our immense gratitude to the essential workers whoโ€™ve been on the front lines of COVID-19 in hospitals, clinics and other health care settings. We thank you for your courage to carry on in the face of great adversity. We thank you for your courage to support others as they battle COVID-19 while living with asthma, allergies and related conditions. You are our heroes!

To our donors, sponsors and partners whoโ€™ve supported our efforts to respond to the pandemic with webinars, Trusted Messengers and more: thank you for your collaboration. You came together to advance the science, our outreach services and the patient voice in the midst of a noisy and confusing time. You collaborated to help us co-create educational resources and programs to navigate chronic conditions during the pandemic. This collaboration has accelerated the path to vaccines and a โ€œnew normalโ€! You make our work possible.

To healthcare professionals and people living with asthma, allergies and related conditions: thank you for allowing us to be the trusted source of information you use to stay informed, and to manage your health and the health of those you care for. You give our work purpose and meaning every day.

To the researchers and companies working on COVID-19 treatments and vaccines: You give us hope for a better and safer future!

To our allergy and asthma community: Thank you for using your voice and your courage to advance policies and laws to make the world safer and healthier for those living with allergies, asthma and related conditions. Thank you also for standing up for those who have been silenced for decades and to shed light on ways we can make the world a better and healthier place for all who manage these chronic health conditions.

To our team for all of their hard work in responding to this crisis: youโ€™ve ensured that Allergy & Asthma Network has risen to the increased demand in services and in the way weโ€™ve been able to help all who come to us.

Finally, thank you to everyone for your confidence — your response to our new programs, resources and webinars in response to this crisis has been gratifying. All of these actions demonstrate your confidence in the Network. We are grateful for your trust!

No doubt 2021 will be filled with many surprises as well. What you can be assured is that we will continue to work diligently to end needless death and suffering due to allergies, asthma and related conditions through outreach, education, advocacy and research.

As we close out 2020 we look forward to being there to serve you in 2021. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and wish you and your family a safe, healthy and very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

We are especially grateful to everyone involved in making the following 2020-21 initiatives possible so we work together to address health inequities and COVID-19.
