Interested in sharing your experience with moderate to severe uncontrolled asthma in a virtual focus group?

The Center for Information and Study on Clinical Research Participation (CISCRP) is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to including the voice of the community in the clinical research process. CISCRP, together with a pharmaceutical company, is planning a virtual focus group for people diagnosed with asthma and their caregivers.

This focus group will provide an opportunity for those living with asthma and their caregivers to share their experiences with this condition. During the discussion, patients and caregivers will also be asked to provide feedback on a proposed clinical trial for patients with asthma. This feedback will help the pharmaceutical company improve experiences for future study participants enrolled in clinical trials for this condition.

The goal of the focus group is not to recruit for a clinical trial, but rather to learn from patients and their families how to best create a clinical trial that addresses the unique needs of individuals living with this condition.

CISCRP is looking for adult patients and/or their caregivers who feel comfortable sharing their experiences living with or caring for someone with moderate to severe uncontrolled asthma. The focus group will include two, 2-hour meetings on Zoom. The meetings will take place in June 2023 – exact date and time is to be determined.

As a thank you, CISCRP will provide an honorarium to all patients and caregivers who are eligible and participate in the focus group.
