National Asthma Educators Organization Honors Allergy & Asthma Network Program Leader
The Association of Asthma Educators honored Leandra Tonweber, PA‑C, AE‑C, Director of Community Support Programs, as “Asthma Advocate of the Month” for her leadership in community‑based asthma education. Leandra leads the award‑winning Virtual Asthma Coaching program, which provides trusted asthma education and support to those experiencing higher asthma burden. This recognition underscores Allergy & Asthma Network’s commitment to health equity and improved asthma outcomes.
Allergy & Asthma Network Supports New Resource for Families Managing Infant Food Allergies
As part of its commitment to improving food allergy education, Allergy & Asthma Network partnered with the FAMP‑IT team at Mass General Brigham for Children to launch FAMP‑IT Family, a website supporting parents in food allergy prevention and management for infants and toddlers. The Network provided grant funding and content expertise to expand access to trusted, evidence‑based information for families nationwide.
