Food allergy coach and consultant Sloane Miller, MFA, MSW, LMSW – “Allergic Girl” – is hosting a 6-week online workshop series, “Find More ‘Yes!’ to Your Life with Food Allergies,” for middle school children and teenagers. The next series starts Wednesday, Oct. 20.

The only way to prevent a food-allergic reaction is strict avoidance of food allergens. However, avoidance of allergens can lead to avoidance of critical areas of life and growth for middle school children and teens.

The workshop series is designed to help improve their interpersonal skills and mental coping toolbox. Sloane Miller uses applied improvisation exercises to build confidence, decrease anxiety, and have fun!

The online workshop series starting Oct. 20 is for children in 6th through 8th grades. (Teen workshops are scheduled for later this fall/winter.) The sessions are conducted on Zoom from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET. The group is capped at eight participants. Parents are included.
