Researchers at the University of Rochester invite Latino adults who smoke cigarettes to a text messaging program to quit smoking and be physically active

Participants:

  • Must identify as Hispanic and/or Latino, be 18 or older, and smoke cigarettes at least 3 days per week.
  • Participants will complete 3 surveys over 6 months, all conducted over phone call or zoom
  • Will receive a Fitbit to track their levels of physical activity
  • Will receive up to 10 weeks of nicotine patches or gum
  • Can earn up to $100 for completing all parts of the study
