Eczema and other immune-mediated skin diseases often present with distinct clinical features in patients with skin of color, contributing to diagnostic challenges, delayed treatment, and disparities in outcomes. Variations in morphology, pigmentation, and distribution can complicate disease recognition and severity assessment in clinical practice.

Join Dr. Ama Alexis as she reviews the immunopathophysiology and clinical presentation of inflammatory skin diseases in diverse populations. This session will highlight evidence-based strategies to improve diagnostic accuracy, optimize management, and address health inequities impacting patient care.

Target Audience
This activity is intended for dermatologists, allergists/immunologists, primary care clinicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals involved in the diagnosis and management of inflammatory skin diseases.
