Food allergy management in infants and toddlers can be complex, particularly for clinicians who do not have direct access to pediatric allergy specialists. Effective care often depends on strong collaboration between primary care clinicians and allergy teams to ensure timely diagnosis, appropriate management, and coordinated family support.
In this webinar, Michael Pistiner, MD, MMSc, will discuss up-to-date studies and guidance, practical strategies, and actionable tools to support food allergy and anaphylaxis management in young children. The session will emphasize the critical role of collaboration between primary care and allergy specialists to improve care coordination and outcomes for infants and toddlers with food allergies.
Participants will gain clinical insights, review current research, and explore practical approaches to partnering with families to support informed and effective care. Dr. Pistiner will also highlight the FAMP-IT.org resource, which includes educational videos, knowledge assessments, and printable family education materials (FAMPITFAMILY.org) that clinicians can incorporate into practice.
